The last time we touched base with you here at Fred Beans Subaru, we were telling you all about the big developments at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. As exciting as that was, the fact of the matter is that new and used car news has an awfully short shelf life in this industry. Because now that the 2013 New York International Auto Show is in full swing, all eyes are on the Big Apple.

If you won't be able to make it there in person, don't you worry, we've got you covered. Because from what we've gathered so far, our favorite automaker has two big reveals for us in the coming weeks.

First up is the Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid. While we only have a photo and press release to go off of, the XV Crosstrek Hybrid looks to usher in a whole new era of fuel-efficiency to the lineup. As for what we know, it looks to be based off the 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek and will be powered by a Subaru-developed hybrid system that's paired to their signature Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system. Unfortunately, that's the long and short of it, but it shouldn't be long before we have more specifics to report on.

Next is the Subaru WRX Concept. Alas, we have even less information to go off of with this one, but the WRX Concept is reported to be a cutting-edge sedan with a muscular appearance and the specs to match. To give it a lower center of gravity and a reduced weight, the roof will be made entirely out of carbon fiber, and in order to better take advantage of those perks, it will also sport a new turbocharged engine and intercooler. Word has it that we shouldn't get our hopes up for the WRX Concept to hit the production line, but hey, stranger things have happened.

Like we said, it shouldn't be long before we have more to report back on, so make sure to keep checking back on our blog for all the latest from New York City. And if you'd like to learn more about all the wonderful things that the models in our showroom have to offer, feel free to pay the experts in our parts department a visit down here at 830 N. Easton Road in Doylestown, PA 18902. Waiting's overrated anyway.
