We can't speak for the masses on this one, but we here at Fred Beans Subaru don't understand why mimes have gotten such a negative rap over the years? You ever try to doing that invisible box thing? That stuff is hard! Well the beauty of our favorite automaker is that they're very much on the same page. So much so that they recently recruited one of them to highlight one of the signature features of our new and used cars.
For those unfamiliar, all of our Subaru models house a boxer engine under their hoods. Strangely enough, they're also one of the only automakers on the market that takes this approach to car design. Well in an effort to clarify the benefits of their signature engine, they decided to create a number of YouTube videos for their "Subaru WOW!" campaign.
In the first video, we're presented with a mime whose tools of choice include a toy car and clay models of a boxer engine, a V-engine and an in-line engine. From one segment to the next, the mime uses the models to show all the ways in which the boxer engine outperforms the competition thanks to its low center of gravity and the minimal amount of vibrations it creates.
Watch it for yourself, the end result may just give you a whole new outlook on the miming industry.
But if mimes aren't your thing and you'd rather just have the experts in our car parts department give you the full rundown, then feel free to pay us a visit down here in Doylestown, PA. It'll make you wonder why you'd drive with anything else?
