We here at Fred Beans Subaru already think the 2012 Subaru Impeza WRX is a pretty fierce ride, and that's just the stock version. But the limited-edition Club Spec models that are produced in Australia really up the ante. That said, while we're jealous, like always, to see our friends down under get their hands on it first, we're hopeful that Subaru will make the decision to bring the Impreza WRX Club Spec 11 to U.S. shores at some point in the near future.
But what even makes a Club Spec WRX so special, you ask? There are many things. In fact, we can list them all for you right now!
- Black coated 17-inch alloy wheels- Black Subaru Tecnica International (STI) spoiler
- Black door mirrors
- Club Spec external badge
- Numbered Club Spec interior badge
The Subaru Impreza WRX Club Spec 11 is available only as a sedan, and is available in two colors: black and tangerine. Under the hood, the same 2.5-liter, turbocharged, 4-cylinder boxer engine that's available here in the United States, which is paired with a five-speed manual transmission with Incline Start Assist. This combination is good for 265 horsepower, but buyers of the Club Spec 11 variant can opt for the 305-horsepower STI package for more than half off.
Starting to see why we'd like to see it here? If you are, then be sure to stay tuned to the Fred Beans Subaru blog. Everyone here at 830 N. Easton Road Doylestown, PA 18902 is keeping an eye on this one, and will be updating you the moment we hear anything.
