Subaru has just barely finished unveiling the 2014 Forester at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and it's already winning awards. To be more specific, the European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP) got their hands on the redesigned crossover for testing, and it has awarded it the highest rating possible: five stars.
This comes as no shock to anyone at Fred Beans Subaru. Subaru shows a focus on safety that's paralleled by very few competing automakers. In fact, it's the only automaker to have every model in its lineup earn an IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) Top Safety Pick designation for three years in a row.
The 2014 Subaru Forester doesn't just excel at keeping drivers safe in the event of an accident either; it also aims to prevent collisions all together. And how can it possibly do that? With available EyeSight driver assist technology.
EyeSight uses a stereo camera system developed by Subaru to control features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking and Lane Departure Warning. In other words, it's like literally having an extra set of eyes on the road at all times - an extra set that can take control of your vehicle in split second to avoid collisions.
In case it isn't already obvious, we here at Fred Beans Subaru are quite excited for the 2014 Subaru Forester. If you're interested in learning even more about it, you're encouraged to contact us today. We'll be happy to answer any questions that you may have about it, or any other new Subaru model we carry at 830 N. Easton Road Doylestown, PA 18902 for that matter.
