Thomas Connelly and Neal August joined the Bucks County Opportunity Council on Thursday picking up, delivering and packaging  food for the local pantries  of Central Bucks County.  Food for the program is donated by local growers.  Cathy Snyder, Director of the Rolling Harvest Food Rescue, has orchestrated a network of local Produce Growers who are willing to contribute a small portion of their crops to local food banks.

Assistant Service Manager Mark Rio recently participated in the Merrell Down and Dirty Mud Obstacle Course on July 27 at Warminster Park in Hatboro.  The race benefits Operation Gratitude a Non Profit group that provides care packages for our troops stationed overseas. Kelsie, Tom, and Sheryl spent the morning at the community gardens on Delware Valley College Campus Grounds.  As part of the Central Bucks YMCA Volunteer Team, they worked and learned about growing and harvesting crops thanks to Steve Smith and his crew of the Deleware Valley College Faculty/ Student Body. The gardens located on Lower State Rd in Doylestown are home for the Hope of the Harvest initiative.

Fred Beans Subaru featured the 2015 Subaru Legacy at Fine Arts and Contemporary Crafts Festival at Peddlers Village earlier this month.  The featured vehicle, on loan from Subaru, was also avaible for a one day test drive event at the store. The vehicle was very well received. The most popular feature was the new Starlink System, which will eventually become a mainstay for all new Subaru vehicles. We expect to have our first official vehicle by the end of June, with regular deliveries starting in July.

Peddlers Village Festival Season Starts

 

Fred Beans Subaru is the proud sponsor of the yearlong festivals at Peddlers Village in Lahaska Pa.  The first of these events is the Strawberry Festival.  The Subaru Crew was there to share in the fun during the weekend of May 3d & 4th.  On display was our, new for 2014, Crosstrek Hybrid Model in Plasma Green.  We at Subaru like to refer to ourselves as the "Greenbeans" of the Fred Beans Group of Dealerships.

Earth Day Event 2014

 


Fred Beans Subaru, the Green Beans, in honor of Earth Day, held a recycling event one day prior on Monday April 21st, 2014.

Free Coffee Day!

 

Some lucky customers were treated to a free cup of coffee at Dunkin Donuts this Earth day.  Jennifer Konefal offered a warm smile and a hot cup of coffee to all takers between 8:00am and 9:00am on Tuesday April 22nd. Jennifer along with General Manager Tom Connelly were on hand to greet customers and hand out empty cups to anyone interested in a free fill at the checkout counter.

Drive to Fill A Forester

 


Fred Beans Subaru sponsored a drive to Fill A Forester to donate to the pets at the Bucks County SPCA in Lahaska, PA.  Customers, empoyees and local residents were invited to stop by and drop off a can of dog or cat food to help feed the animals at the shelter. Fred Beans Subaru gave out complimentary frisbees and leashes to those who made offerings. The food was delivered to the shelter just prior to the Thanksgiving Holiday.
