If the award-winning new and cars at our dealership are any indication, 2013's shaping up to be a pretty good year for our favorite automaker here at Fred Beans Subaru. And if there's anything that we've learned over the years, it's that when the gravy train starts rolling, it's hard to get off.

In case you haven't heard, Subaru wound up posting record sales numbers for Q1 of this year with over 358,000 units sold in the US alone. Well in an effort to post another year of record sales in the US (which they've been doing for the past four years now), the brass at Subaru recently announced they they'd be investing $400 million into their auto plant Lafayette, Indiana.

Currently, the Lafayette plant produces 200,000 models per year, primarily specializing in the 2013 Subaru Outback, the 2013 Subaru Legacy and the 2013 Subaru Tribeca. As for what the investment will be going towards, $200 million will be used to build a new paint plant while $160 million will be used to extend the production line itself.

By 2016, the 900 additional employees at the Lafayette plant will begin manufacturing future Subaru Impreza models. And by that time, who knows how many models Subaru will have sold.

Well if you'd like to see for yourself why so many are so fond of the models at our dealership, your test drive awaits you here in Doylestown, PA. Take it from us, it's a bandwagon worth jumping on.
