The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas each January is a great way for the auto industry to show off new vehicle technology. For Subaru, it was a chance to debut a feature that will be a central part of the new Subaru lineup here at Fred Beans Subaru: Starlink infotainment.

With its first-ever branded onboard system designed to keep you connected with many different applications, Subaru Starlink uses Aha. This versatile serivce allows for drivers to listen to loads of different content like podcasts, streaming radio, music from Slaker Radio and Rhapsody via a Harman stereo system.

In addition to the listening options, new Subaru vehicles with Starlink will get access to hotel and travel recommendations from TripAdvisor, Yelp restaurant and business reviews, weather info, and for the outdoorsy types, parks, ski and surf spots.

That's not all, however. You can also stay connected to Facebook and Twitter, plus have many different audio books available as well.

Of course, all of this is made as an enhancement to the driving experience. With its simple interface, drivers will be able to keep their focus on the road and continue to stay safe behind the wheel of a new Subaru.

Starlink will be rolled out on the redesigned Subaru Forester and available on trims that come with navigation. Once it debuts on the Forester, the Impreza, XV Crosstrek, and BRZ will also receive the new infotainment system.
